Huntsville - Old Town

Old Town is a subdivision south of Pratt and west of California.  Old Town is part of the Old Town Historical District, one of the oldest parts of the city of Huntsville and the second in the city to be named a historical district.  Many homes here in this district are kept up to regulation & historical code by the strict rules of the Huntsville Historic Preservation Committee.  The committee makes sure that the Old Town Historical District always looks in the most pristine condition without exception.  The styles in the district are diverse including Federal, Victorian, and Greek Revival. The square footage of homes within the Old Town Historical District are approximately 900 to 8000.

Often during the summer and fall, Old Town as well as the other historical districts of Huntsville have regular walking tours up and down the streets.  Signing up on one of these you can not only get great views of the homes from the sidewalks, but also get historical stories from the local guides who do endless research on Huntsville's history.
